FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE EPA-ETV RELEASES VERIFICATION OF FINE AMBIENT PARTICULATE (PM2.5) MONITORS The Environmental Technology Verification Program (ETV) was established by the U.S. EPA to verify the performance of innovative technical solutions to problems that threaten human health or the environment. This program is intended to facilitate the introduction of new environmental technologies to the marketplace. Recently, the ETV program completed an evaluation of fine particulate monitors. This comprehensive study examined the performance of many PM2.5 monitors, including the Met One BAM-1020. The ETV reports identify inter-unit precision, comparability to the Federal Reference Method (FRM), short-term data correlation and instrument reliability for all products tested.
